THE STORY BEHIND IFC® CAF
IFC® CAF Technology was born of the need to deal with the consequences of ageing.
Stem cells are characterised by their ability to achieve self-renewal and differentiate into different types of skin cells including fibroblasts and keratinocytes. During ageing, these cells gradually lose this function and die. Their number drops and the skin loses its ability to repair itself. What’s more, the extracellular matrix – packed with different components such as collagen or elastin – degrade. As a result, skin loses density and wrinkles appear.

Mechanisms of Action
IFC® CAF activates skin stem cells and promotes their differentiation into new keratinocytes and fibroblasts. IFC® CAF acts right at the “source” of youthful skin by stimulating the differentiation of stem cells into skin cells and improving the physiology of damaged fibroblasts and keratinocytes. It increase the production of the components of the extracellular matrix (collagen, fibronectin, elastin, hyaluronic acid) while reducing its degradation.
Through skin biopsies, this innovative technology has been proven to fight ageing by acting on wrinkles and the loss of skin density.
