SCA® Growth Factor Technology

SCA is a technology packed with growth factors found in our ENDOCARE anti-ageing cosmetics brand. With an effectiveness backed by more than 17 scientific studies and publications, it acts directly on fibroblasts by stimulating them and making them behave like young cells again and enabling them to synthesise collagen, elastin and fibronectin of good quality.

THE STORY BEHIND SCA®

SCA Technology was born of Dr Rafael Abad’s – a therapeutic radiographer at the Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid – concern for his patients undergoing radiotherapy. These patients suffered very severe burns due to the radiation that they were subjected to during radiotherapy treatment.
After different research studies, Dr Abad discovered that the secretion from Cryptomphalus aspersa resulted in rapid regeneration of the damaged skin of these patients.
We at Cantabria Labs researched the action of this technology on damage and photoageing caused by environmental factors to skin and we patented the process of obtaining this technology. For more than 20 years now, we’ve been driving research and carrying out numerous studies and publications that prove its effectiveness in the different processes and mechanisms of skin ageing.

PROPERTIES OF SCA®

Mechanisms of Action

Technology packed with growth factors that, through a cascade of signals between cells, activate the dermal cells such as fibroblasts to resynthesise the components necessary for youthful, healthy skin such as collagen, elastin and fibronectin. The activation of this mechanism gives skin a potent regenerating, antioxidant and firming action, making it look firm and supple.

Antioxidant Action

The antioxidants found in our technology protect the skin by neutralising free radicals and preventing damage caused by environmental exposure. They’re responsible for skin that’s bright, healthy and well-protected.

Regenerating action

By acting on the fibroblast and stimulating its synthesis activity, it increases elastin, collagen and fibronectin levels, regenerating the structural components of the skin responsible for firmer, smoother, more supple and plump skin.
